The Three Wise men and Jesus
Same old story

I have already written several articles documenting how the eyewitnesses around Jesus did NOT believe in his divinity; readers can read the articles on the following links:

We will now continue in that tradition, with yet another account of eyewitnesses who did not believe that Jesus was God, the account comes from the Gospel of Matthew:
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi[a] from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east[b] and have come to worship him." (Matthew 2:1-12)
This is the story of the famous three wise men who followed the star until it set over the house of Jesus, and as one can read, the three magi believed that this baby who was born, was the KING of the Jews, and this title was in reference to the long awaited Messiah who was going to rule over them. The three wise men did not call this baby the God of the Jews, or the all mighty God, why not? The answer is simple, because they didn't believe he was God, which is why they didn't call him God!
Christians may respond back by saying well the text says they will worship Jesus. The Gospel of Matthew wasn't written in English, it was written in Greek, and the word that's used in Greek is proskeneyo, and this word doesn't uniquely mean worship, it has a wide range of meanings, which includes giving respect and homage to a prophet, or a man of higher rank and authority. Therefore we must let the context determine if the word is being used in the context of worship, or none-worship, and obviously the context shows it's the latter as the 3 wise men call Jesus the King of the Jews, the title of the Messiah, a human being, they did not call him God, hence the context determines they didn't actually worship him.
So even the famous three wise men didn't believe in the divinity of Jesus!
And Allah Knows Best!
