Jesus and Isaiah 7

Christians are very fond of quoting Isaiah 7:13-14 as a reference for Jesus, which reads as follows:

Then Isaiah said, "Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of men? Will you try the patience of my God also? Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

Christians quote the above and say this is proof that Jesus is prophesized in the Jewish scriptures, and that the Jewish scriptures also teach that he is God since he is called Immanuel which means God is with us.

Sadly the Christians have yet again ignored the context of the verse, had they bothered to just read a little more they would have seen that this prophecy completely proves that Jesus is not God, let us read this prophecy in context:

Then Isaiah said, "Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of men? Will you try the patience of my God also?  Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.  He will eat curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right.  But before the boy knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste (Isaiah 7:13-16)

So according to this prophecy, this child will have to learn about right and wrong, and there will be a point when this child doesn't know enough about rejecting something wrong and bad!!! Is such an attribute fitting for the all mighty God? Off course not! So essentially this proves that this child will not be God, because he is not all knowing, and will not fully comprehend wrong from right, rather he will have to learn such things!

Now imagine if this child is God, that would mean there was a point in time when God didn't really know wrong from right!!!

And this is what Christians want to quote as proof for Jesus' divinity? A prophecy about an ignorant child who doesn't even fully comprehend wrong from right?

And Allah Knows Best!
