The Death of Jesus
Christians often like to attack Islam and the prophet Muhammad specifically by mentioning his death, Christians claim that the prophet Muhammad died in pain due to poisoning, and that he was even in the dark as to what was going to happen to him right after he died, hence they put this all together and try to launch an attack.
For starters, whether the prophet Muhammad died from poisoning is up for discussion, I believe that the evidence is quite clear to indicate that he was not killed by poisoning, visit the following link regarding this matter:
Now let us assume that the prophet Muhammad died from poisoning, how in the world is that something negative? From where do Christians get their reasoning from? As we shall shortly see, the Christians are not acting on any logical consistent foundation, rather their argument stems from their deep hate for the prophet Muhammad, which is why their argument is quite irrational, because when one is filled with hate, they don't think rationally and their mind becomes clouded.
Secondly, the prophet Muhammad was not in the dark as to what was going to happen to him, the prophet Muhammad very well knew what was going to happen, as we see from the following hadith:
Volume 1, Book 8, Number 455:
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:
The Prophet delivered a sermon and said, "Allah gave a choice to one of (His) slaves either to choose this world or what is with Him in the Hereafter. He chose the latter." Abu Bakr wept. I said lo myself, "Why is this Sheikh weeping, if Allah gave choice to one (of His) slaves either to choose this world or what is with Him in the Here after and he chose the latter?" And that slave was Allah's Apostle himself. Abu Bakr knew more than us. The Prophet said, "O Abu Bakr! Don't weep. The Prophet added: Abu- Bakr has favored me much with his property and company. If I were to take a Khalil from mankind I would certainly have taken Abu Bakr but the Islamic brotherhood and friendship is sufficient. Close all the gates in the mosque except that of Abu Bakr.
This hadith clearly shows that the prophet Muhammad knew exactly what was going to happen to him, and that he even had a choice in the matter, hence the prophet Muhammad was not in the dark about anything.
So with all of that said let us now turn our attention to the death of Jesus according to the Bible, how it was done, what he said, and how he was viewed, and we shall see that if the Christians really want to attack someone due to their circumstances of death, then Jesus perfectly fits their pathetic way of thinking. Before going into this, let me state something very clearly, I do not believe that Jesus died, nor do I believe these false accounts about Jesus' supposed death according to the Bible, however so the Christians believe in, and we shall see if they are truly consistent in their methodology of attack.
According to the Bible Jesus went through a brutal, and painful death, we read:
And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head, And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews! And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him. And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him. And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross. And they bring him unto the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull. And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not. And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take. And it was the third hour, and they crucified him. (Mark 15:17-25)
Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death. Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands, (Matthew 26:65-67)
Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified. Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers. And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head. And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. (Matthew 27:26-31)
So according to the Bible, Jesus scourged and tortured by the Romans, after that the Roman soldiers placed a crown of thorns on his head, while doing so they also slapped him, as well as striking his head with a rod, and just to add insult to injury they spit on him as well, before finally putting him on the cross for crucifixion!
Now as mentioned at the start of this article, Christians like to attack the prophet Muhammad saying he suffered before he died, that he was in pain, and they say this in a negative way, as if that's a bad thing! So what about their own Jesus? Will the Christians also attack their own Jesus for going through so much pain right before he died? Of course not! As I stated, the Christians have no real argument, they will just use whatever they can to attack the blessed prophet Muhammad, ?oh the prophet Muhammad suffered before he died! See, he is a false prophet! Nananan!' That truly is their argument my friends.
What's more sad about the Christian argument is that they are also trying to mock the prophet Muhammad, you see my friends, these Christians take some sick sort of pleasure from seeing the prophet Muhammad in pain, so they like to laugh and mock at it, too bad for these Christians that their own Jesus died in much worst circumstances, so if they want to laugh and mock anyone, it should be their own Jesus.
Since we are on the topic of mocking, you will also notice that Jesus was mocked as he was being killed, by both the Romans as well as the Jewish Pharisees:
And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God. And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, and saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself. And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. (Luke 23:36-38)
So all of his enemies were goading him right at the death, challenging him if he was truly a king, the Messiah, that he should save himself. Can you imagine if this was the prophet Muhammad instead? The Christians would be all over the place saying that Muhammad (AS) is a false prophet because he couldn't save himself, as a true prophet would be able to save himself!
Something we must also not forget is that Jesus died as a CRIMINAL, so not only does Jesus get killed in a humiliating fashion, he is also considered as a common criminal, and is therefore killed as such! So in reality Christians follow a condemned executed criminal, how nice, wouldn't you say? (Remember, this all according to their false Bible, we as Muslims do not believe in this nonsense)
You would think that all of this was bad enough, yet sadly it gets even worst, according to the Bible, during Jesus' last moments he shouts the following:
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (Matthew 27:46)
And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (Mark 15:34)
So after everything that Jesus goes through, he eventually gets abandoned and left behind by God as well! So let us summarize what we have:
-Jesus gets tortured and dies in a brutal way
-Jesus gets mocked and spat on during the process
-Jesus is killed as a criminal as well
-Jesus is challenged to save himself if he is truly who he says he is (Messiah, King, Prophet), he doesn't, therefore this may mean he isn't what he claimed to be
-Jesus is abandoned by God
Wow, and Christians actually have the audacity to try and even think of attacking the prophet Muhammad's death? Hey, whatever floats your boat Mr. Christian.
And Allah Knows Best!
