Burn Muslim women who lack Modesty?

Some time ago Christian apologist Nabeel Qureshi came out with a blog article titled as follows:

Sharia in Practice: Letting Muslim Girls Burn for Lack of Modesty

He then goes on to proceed with his article writing:

In Saudi Arabia, Sharia is enforced through a variety of means. The Commission for the Protection of Virtue and the Suppression of Vice (CPVSV) is the organization specifically dedicated to upholding the finer points of Islamic law in everyday life. The enforcers of this organization are known as mutaween, but another apt title would be The Sharia Gestapo.

Here's a snippet of what Time had to say concerning some of their more controversial actions:

TIME MAGAZINE:
"The most scandalous case in recent years involved the deaths of 15 Saudi girls at a school in Mecca, Islam's holiest city, in 2002. Eyewitnesses said that when a fire broke out, mutaween refused to allow the girls to flee, or rescuers to go inside, on the grounds that the students were not wearing the required garments to preserve their modesty. The government, however, absolved the commission of blame."

RESPONSE

I am very disappointed with Nabeel I must say, for someone who claims to have been a former Muslim, and for someone who is involved in Islamic-Christian dialog I would really expect him to be much more knowledgeable about such claims. For starters no where does Nabeel bring ANY Islamic text that calls for immodest women to be burned according to Islamic law! So from where does Nabeel conclude that this practice had anything to do with Sharia? Oh, just because the people who did it claim to follow Shariah means it was Sharia? If Nabeel is going by this logic (which I assume he is) then that is very bad and weak logic.

So here is a challenge for Nabeel:

-Bring a SINGLE Quranic verse, or authentic Hadith that says Muslims should burn immodest women

In fact I will save Nabeel some time, no such text exists, there is no such Islamic ruling, Nabeel is simply being ignorant, and is simply spreading false propaganda, simple as that.

What makes this slightly ironic is that it is NABEEL'S BIBLE that calls for women to be burned! We read the following:

Lev 21:9 And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.

Wow, don't you just love the irony? Nabeel claims that ?Sharia' calls for immodest women to be burned, yet he provides no Islamic text to back him up, and will never be able to do so, yet it his own Bible that calls for women to be burned if they play the whore and their father happens to be a priest!

So Nabeel, will you be consistent now, or will you yet again show everyone that lovely Christian double standard? Obviously it seems that you are against women being burned alive, which is why you posted your article, so will you now condemn your Bible for demanding that very same thing? .

Nabeel should change the title of his article to BIBLE IN PRACTICE, not Sharia.
