Is God All Knowing and All Powerful?

By Sami Zaatari

The Bible calls God All Knowing and All Powerful:

"whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything." 1 John 3:20

"Do you know how the clouds hang poised, those wonders of him who is perfect in knowledge?" Job 37:16

"He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name. Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite." Psalm 147:4-5

So as you can see the God of the Bible is both All Knowing and All Powerful, yet this nature of God is contradicted in Genesis chapter 6 which reads:

1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,  2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.  5
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.  7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. (Genesis 6:1-6)

So as you can see man was so corrupt and evil that this made God regret he created them! But yet how can God regret the creation of man when he is All Knowing? He knows everything, he would have known before hand that man would have been extremely corrupt and evil, an all knowing being would have known this before mans creation. So how is this God in Genesis 1:6 all knowing when he regrets creating man? Obviously he is not all knowing, because it seems he did not expect man to be so corrupt, and the fact he REGRETS making mankind is a sign of his ignorance concerning mankind's future.

Lest a Christian wants to twist it and say God is simply saddened by mans sins and that God hates sin which is he why he is sad, I shall reply back by saying this response is completely wrong and is a complete twist of what the verse says, the verse does not say God is saddened because of mans sinning, the verses could have easily stated that God was simply saddened by mans sins, rather it says God is saddened by the fact that he created mankind! That is completely different than saying I am saddened by mans sins, God here is saddened that he created this human race because of their evil and corruption, which shows God's ignorance (Not Allah this verse in Genesis is a fake and Muslims don't believe it) because he didn't know man would be so corrupt, God could have easily said I am saddened and regret man's sins, that would have been logical, rather he says he regrets making man because of their sin and how can he regret making man when he knows man will always be corrupt and sinful?!

The only solution a Christian has is to delete the part which says God regrets making mankind and then the verse has no problem, because it is logical for God to be saddened by sin and corruption, but yet this does not mean he regrets creating that race because he always knew beforehand that that creation would be corrupt and sinful.

And indeed Allah knows Best not this ?god' being mentioned in Genesis 6:6
