The Holy Spirit in Islam
Sami Zaatari
I have already written one article which establishes the fact that the Holy Spirit in Islam is none other than the angel Gabriel, and that article can be found on the following link:

In this article I shall provide further evidence to prove that the Holy Spirit is indeed an angel. The proof comes from Surah 16, the chapter of the bee, and right at the start of this Surah we read the following verse:
He doth send down His angels with inspiration of His Command, to such of His servants as He pleaseth, (saying): "Warn (Man) that there is no god but I: so do your duty unto Me." (16:2)
So Allah says that he sends down the angels, and he sends them with inspiration, inspiration of his commands to relay upon the men. Now exactly 100 verses after this verse we read the following:
Say, the Holy Spirit has brought the revelation from thy Lord in Truth, in order to strengthen those who believe, and as a Guide and Glad Tidings to Muslims. (16:102)
So notice exactly 100 verses after Allah says that he sends the angels with his inspiration, he goes on to say that he also sends the Holy Spirit, and that he sends the Holy Spirit with his revelation as well. All of this is being stated in the same chapter, hence put two and two together, and you can see that the Holy Spirit is an angel.
And Allah Knows Best!
