The Difference between Islam and Christianity

One very interesting difference between Islam and Christianity is the view of man's nature, according to Islam, man is born with a pure and good nature, while according to Christianity, man is born with original sin, already tainted, and already in need of being saved.

In Islam we are taught that all humans are born Muslims, meaning born as a righteous person, with a good nature, as the prophet Muhammad taught:

Narrated Abu-Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "No child is born except on Al-fitra (Islam) and then his parents make him Jewish, Christian or Magian (Zoroastrian), as an animal produces a perfect young animal: do you see any part of its body amputated?" Bukhari Volume 2, Book 23, Number 441

So according to Islam we are born as Muslims, it is later on in life as we grow up that our parents take us away from the truth (that is in the case of being born into a none-Muslim familly), or if it is not our parents, then it is the society or satan himself who corrupts us and takes off the correct path we were born on.

Christianity teaches something radically different, the total opposite, that humans are born with original sin, and need to be cleansed, this is why many Christians perform baptism's on their BABIES! Although the Bible itself says nothing about original sin, it is still a part of Christianity, and this doctrine basically teaches that we as humans are not born pure, rather we are already stained!

The stark contrast between Islam and Christianity on this issue should make the truth seeker think, one faith teaches that humans are born pure, good, while another teaches that humans are born in a state of sin, and are already tainted. Christianity has a disdain for humans, your already born as a loser, and you already need to be cleansed, and what's worst is that your not fit enough to cleanse yourself, rather someone else, namely Jesus, had to do it for you by making a human sacrifice, your own repentence on your own isnt good enough, no, your just a mere human, there must be blood!

Any truth seeker can see that it is quite clear that Christianity looks down on man, holds man in contempt, and this makes us think of someone, namely satan, who has a deep seated hatered for mankind, whom he blames for his fall, and whom he looks down upon:

It is We Who created you and gave you shape; then We bade the angels prostrate to Adam, and they prostrate; not so Iblis; He refused to be of those who prostrate.  (Allah) said: "What prevented thee from prostrating when I commanded thee?" He said: "I am better than he: Thou didst create me from fire, and him from clay." (Allah) said: "Get thee down from this: it is not for thee to be arrogant here: get out, for thou art of the meanest (of creatures)." (7:11-13)

So just like satan had a disdain for man, the same goes for Christianity, both have a negative view of man, both look down upon man, and one has to rightly ask if there is a connection here or is this just a coincidence?

And Allah Knows Best!
