All Prophets Preached Islam

One concept many people don't seem to understand is that Islam did not simply start with the prophet Muhammad, rather the religion of Islam was perfected with the coming and ending of Prophet Muhammad's mission. Islam was taught by every single prophet that came before the prophet Muhammad. Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus all taught and preached Islam. Including the other many prophets such as Jacob, Ishmael, Joseph, and Isaac!

This fact is not only proven if we quote the Bible, but it is proven within the noble book of the Quran which informs us of this information in several places.

Noah came with the message of Islam:

YUSUFALI: We sent Noah to his people. He said: "O my people! worship Allah! ye have no other god but Him. I fear for you the punishment of a dreadful day!

Noah called his people to worship Allah alone, and that Allah was the only true God.

YUSUFALI: We sent Noah to his people (with a mission): "I have come to you with a Clear Warning:"That ye serve none but Allah: Verily I do fear for you the penalty of a grievous day." (11:25-26)

Noah warned his people that they must only serve Allah, and believe in Allah alone, and that if they do not heed to this warning they will indeed to be punished.

YUSUFALI: (Further, We sent a long line of prophets for your instruction). We sent Noah to his people: He said, "O my people! worship Allah! Ye have no other god but Him. Will ye not fear (Him)?"

So the prophet Noah was sent to his pagan people to warn them of their deviant acts, of setting up false idols that they should shun and worship Allah alone. And this is what Islam is, that we worship no God but God, this is the main core doctrine of Islam!

The prophet Abraham as well was sent with this very same message:

YUSUFALI: There is for you an excellent example (to follow) in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: "We are clear of you and of whatever ye worship besides Allah: we have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred for ever,- unless ye believe in Allah and Him alone": But not when Abraham said to his father: "I will pray for forgiveness for thee, though I have no power (to get) aught on thy behalf from Allah." (They prayed): "Our Lord! in Thee do we trust, and to Thee do we turn in repentance: to Thee is (our) Final Goal.

As you can see, Abraham and his followers confronted their people letting them know that the true path and the correct way is to worship Allah alone, that he is the only true God, and that worshiping others beside him is an evil sin and that the true believers will have nothing to do with such deviant satanic beliefs.

The prophet Jesus was also sent with the doctrine and message of Islam:

YUSUFALI: "Never said I to them aught except what Thou didst command me to say, to wit, 'worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord'; and I was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when Thou didst take me up Thou wast the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things.

Jesus preached to his people that they should worship Allah, who is his lord, and their lord, and this is Islam.

So as you can see, the major prophets all preached Islam, surah 20:9-98 gives a detailed account of Moses' mission and what he preached, and you will find that he preached that there is only one God, and that all worship and surrender must be made to this God, and this is what Islam is.

Hence the message of Islam did not start with the prophet Muhammad, the revelation of the Quran was what started with Muhammad, and the specific Islamic rulings etc. However so the main doctrine and message was always there being preached by previous prophets, that there is no God but Allah, and that all worship must be given to Allah, and to contradict this is a major evil sin!
